Programme & Strategy

From developing organisational or programme strategies, designing new programme concepts to figuring out how to implement them, I bring my knowledge and expertise to support teams to develop quality products. I specialise in women-centred and rights-based approaches, and bring people along step-by-step in the process. I support organisations to integrate a gender-lens to their work and foster transformative change internally or in their programmes, in order that organisations move away from reproducing the inequalities they themselves work to challenge. It is important to me that the needs and priorities of those most affected are integrated in programmes and strategies, ensuring their voices shape the approaches of those working for and with them.

Training & Facilitation

Whether it’s a workshop to develop a Theory of Change or inform strategy, or training on methodologies and approaches, my ability to translate concepts for people to understand and bring everything in the room together will bring clarity to staff and processes. My observation and communication skills ensure I understand processes and support others to understand, gain clarity and reframe their thinking. I believe in participatory approaches and strive to ensure that, at the end of the day, all participants feel engaged and heard.

Coaching & Mentoring

Capacity strengthening is central to my philosophy, using technical assistance and coaching trajectories to strengthen capacity for future programming. I work directly with partners and country program teams to enhance activities, building on their knowledge and expertise and fostering mutual learning. I firmly believe that local civil society organisations have an integral role to play in change processes; their knowledge is essential to ensure lasting and meaningful solutions. I provide capacity support in programme design, programme approaches, implementation, as well as in thematic areas and organisational capacity. My focus is on capacity for working on women’s empowerment and gender equality, ensuring the voices of those affected are amplified and prioritised within activities and approaches.

Research & Knowledge transfer

Research and knowledge production are essential to effective programming and strategies and I strive to bring research and practice together to operate together in close harmony. There are still significant evidence gaps around what works to empower women and I am committed to filling those gaps. I apply feminist approaches to research and evaluation, supporting organisations to analyse, translate and act on data to inform programmes and strategies, influence policy and strengthen social movements. I believe in participatory approaches and knowledge transfer which ensure all perspectives and voices are represented, and which grant participants ownership of their data.
